Sarah Clay is a qualified and experienced consultant trainer bringing expertise in: training and facilitation of managers, staff, volunteers and young people; organisational strategic development; anti discriminatory practice; and action research and project evaluation.
Over the past 33 years she has worked in and with a broad range of social care, housing. Community and children’s/youth organisations within the statutory, voluntary and independent sectors.
Since 2002 a major part of Sarah’s freelance work has involved a lead role delivering large/small-scale training programmes for the Adult Social Care workforce in Local Authorities and Mental Health Trusts. Recent training commissions have focussed on: the Care Act (2014); Strengths-Based Approaches; Outcomes Focussed Assessment & Support Planning; and Legal Literacy/Defensible Decision-Making. She also delivers training for a large national children’s charity. She regularly designs and delivers bespoke learning and development programmes, accredited and unaccredited, to social work, adult’s and children’s services and supported housing staff.
