Course Outline
To discuss the underpinning knowledge of the urinary and faecal systems. To discuss continence aids. To discuss urinary catheters and the care of equipment. To understand pra-pubic catheters. To understand the uses of urostomys, ileostomys and colostomys. To discuss how to promote continence. To discuss abnormalities.
Who is the course aimed at?
This course is develped for care staff and support workers to raise their awareness of the causes of incontinence, the use of continence aids, promotion of good practice, and the care of individuals with catheters.
How long is the course?
Half day
