Mark Parry

Mark has worked across social care for nearly 3 decades and has been a qualified children’s social worker since 2005. Within this time he has worked across statutory child care settings in a number of  roles. Mark has also  managed in Youth Justice, third sector (NSPCC)  and within the  health service, the latter as the  Strategic Head of Safeguarding (Children), for the largest health board in Wales . Mark is also a former Senior head of service within  Wrexham council’s children services, where he worked with regulators, senior leaders  and politicians, in  leading the council’s  workforce to improve services for Children and young people across Wrexham as part of a accelerated improvement plan.  Mark now works as an independent safeguarding consultant, currently working with a number of statutory and third sectors clients. Mark still practises, currently Chairing Child Practice Reviews, as well as a  number of Looked After Children Reviews  and Child Protection conferences across the North Wales region.
