This one-day Trauma Informed Practice (Childrens) Training course introduces practitioners to trauma informed practice and enables them to be able to consider adverse childhood experiences and how these may lead to trauma

Anyone in social care who needs to learn about Trauma informed Practice
On completion of the course, participants will:
- Understand the 6 guiding principles to trauma-informed approaches
- Have considered the three “E”’s of trauma i.e. events, experiences and effects
- Have explored how to work with the “four R’s” assumptions of trauma informed practice i.e. realisation, recognition of the signs of trauma, responding to trauma and resisting re-traumatisation
- Be familiar with a range of adverse childhood experiences and how these impact on children’s development. Recognising what is an ACE trauma
