Overview

To enable learners to develop comprehensive Makaton skills and enable them to be fully inclusive in their Makaton practice.

Who is Makaton Level 4 aimed at?

This course is aimed at anyone who supports children or adults with additional communication needs. However, learners must have completed the Level 3 course within the previous 3 years

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session learners will: 

• have refreshed all the signs from Stages 1-6 of the Core Vocabulary,
• be able to demonstrate signs and recognise symbols from Stages 7 and 8 of the Core vocabulary, and some of the Additional stage,
• be able to interpret and translate more detailed information,
• be able to demonstrate how to adapt Makaton use for people with different communication needs.
