Overview

To enable learners to develop advanced Makaton skills and equip them the skills to create tools to support Makaton practice

Who is Makaton Level 3 aimed at?

This course is aimed at anyone who supports children or adults with additional communication needs. However, learners must have completed the Level 2 course within the previous 3 years

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session learners will: 

• have refreshed all the signs from Stages 1-4 of the Core Vocabulary,
• be able to demonstrate signs and recognise symbols from Stages 5 and 6 of the Core vocabulary, and some of the Additional stage,
• be able to demonstrate how to sign in conversation,
• be able to describe sign production techniques,
• be able to develop tools to support Makaton use with people with communication needs.
