Overview
This course equips practitioners with the skills and knowledge to deliver purposeful direct work with children that is firmly linked to agreed outcomes. Participants will learn how to write measurable outcomes, plan interventions that prioritise safety and security, and adapt approaches to meet developmental needs and communication styles. The program explores a wide range of activities and resources for both planned and spontaneous work, emphasising observation, evaluation, and reflective practice. Attendees will gain strategies for capturing the child’s voice, assessing impact, and ensuring that future work builds on previous experiences, fostering clarity and collaboration with children and families throughout the process.Who is Direct work with disabled children aimed at?
