Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:- 

• Understand when Deprivation of Liberty(DoL) is lawful if warranted under statute
• Understand Deprivation of Liberty in relation with accommodated children, care orders and S.20 concerns
• Have an awareness of Deprivation of Liberty and the conflict witha young person’s or parental consent
• Understand the use of inherent jurisdictionand the role of the Court of Protection when there is a lack of capacity
• Have knowledge of recent case law
