Overview
This half day course provides staff with essential knowledge and practical skills to confidently support individuals with epilepsy. It covers an overview of epilepsy and seizure types, appropriate first aid responses, and person‑centred support for residents living with the condition. Learners will also develop the skills and confidence to recognise prolonged seizures and safely administer prescribed emergency medication, ensuring effective, calm, and dignified care.Who is Buccal Midazolam Administration aimed at?

- A greater awareness of Epilepsy including seizure classification
- Be aware of the first aid treatment of Epilepsy
- Be able to support the needs of a resident with Epilepsy
