Overview
This course is designed for those who manage, coordinate, supervise or assess Newly Qualified Social Workers undertaking the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment. The session explores the purpose of ASYE as a structured programme of support, development and assessment, and considers how managers can create the conditions for confident, reflective and safe early career practice. Participants will consider the balance between support and assessment, the importance of regular supervision, protected development time, workload management and evidence of progressive development.
