Overview
This training is aimed at staff working across children’s services who would like to learn more about restorative practice; strategic staff implementing restorative practice. This training will introduce participants to the concepts and philosophy of restorative practice and explore informal and formal restorative processes, including restorative conferences, face to face mediation and/or family group conferencing. The training will share with participants the benefits of working restoratively and analyse what working WITH means and how it applies to practice. Participants will be introduced to the restorative questions and use opportunities to practise the language. Participants will also be introduced to the range of applications of restorative practice, and identify how they can apply restorative thinking and language into their daily workWho is Restorative Practice aimed at?
