This course aims to enable Safeguarding Managers to support safeguarding enquiries and make defendable decisions.

This course is designed to help delegates understand the key aspects of Safeguarding process management, to critically analyse safeguarding enquiries and manage the multi-disciplinary arrangements into safeguarding process

Who is the Course Aimed at?

All Managers in Adult Social Care who supervise Safeguarding Adults Enquiry Officers.

Learning Outcomes
  • Understand the legal framework, policy and best practice for practitioners carrying out the role of Safeguarding Adult Manager in safeguarding adults enquiries
  • Have a full understanding of the safeguarding adult enquiry officer role. This should include The Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and local operational procedures
  • To have an awareness of tools related to Making Safeguarding Personal, the MASH Team and policy
  • Be upskilled on Chairing Safeguarding Meetings
