Description of course:
“Very good course which will influence my practice.”
(Social Worker, Conway)
Sharing bad news with patients and relatives can be one of the most difficult tasks faced by health and social care professionals. The way in which the message is delivered will always be remembered.
Given the potential impact of breaking bad news, focused training in skills and techniques to facilitate the communication of bad news will increase health and social professionals’ skills and ability to convey difficult issues with greater ease and confidence.
This course aims to provide delegates with these skills by approaching the breaking of bad news in a straightforward, honest and compassionate way.
While the subject of this training is necessarily challenging, a practical and positive approach ensures the programme is a constructive and meaningful experience for all those who attend.
