Course Outline
This course is to help people working in a Social Care setting by giving them the skills to deal with emotional issues and the practical care giving when dealing with death, dying and bereavement. This course also looks at the stages of bereavement and how workers can best help service users, families and colleagues deal with the topic of death and dying.

– How to work effectively and efficiently before and after a death has occurred – How to provide appropriate care and comfort to someone who is dying – Knowing what a service users rights and choices are and how to respect personal beliefs – Know how to ensure death is handled with dignity – Name and explain the stages of bereavement
