STRESS affects increasing numbers of the working population but it is recognised as a particular problem amongst healthcare professionals in a health service which is becoming increasingly demanding. Health professionals face special difficulties and this seminar is designed to offer practical advice and coping strategies to them in particular

Nurses, Doctors, Health Visitors, General Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Primary Care Staff. Occupational Health Staff, Outpatient and Residential Care staff. Professionals working with stress-affected patients will also benefit from learning about techniques that can be applied in clinical settings to assist the patient.

MARTIN DAVIES RMN,Dip.CPN., has co-written the Royal College of General Practitioners book ''What Stress! In Primary Care" with Prof. Ruth Chambers and contributed to the 'Depression Skills Pack' (Talking Life). He is the principle tutor for the national Depression Care Training Centre and has been running stress management workshops for NHS staff around the U.K. for many years. His illustrations have been published in Private Eye and have been extensively used in dozens of other publications. His presentations are lively and amusing, yet contain serious messages for us all - bring your sense of humour (or what is left of it!)
